Huge success for joint networking chamber event

WESTBOROUGH _ The recent Mega Networking event held Aug. 24 at the Ecotarium in Worcester was “the” place to be if you were connected with a business in Central Massachusetts. Two of the biggest chambers in the region, The Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce brought their members and member guests together in a setting designed to promote networking and foster new and to nurture old business relationships.

Deborah Penta, CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc. of Westborough, and the presenting sponsor for the event was thrilled with the turnout.

“PENTA Communications was delighted to serve such an important role in bringing the region’s most dynamic Chambers together for such a powerful networking event,” said Penta. “The region’s businesses have great growth potential and it is vital that people get out and meet potential customers and clients. The Mega Networking event offered area companies the opportunity to network in an environment where businesses are thriving – they are alive and well. PENTA is proud to be a member and supporter to both Chambers and looks forward to additional events that will bring companies from our region together to do more business.”

Well over 300 people turned out for the event, deemed a hit by both chambers.

“The Mega Networking event was a huge success! Our hope in presenting a Mega Networking event with the Worcester Chamber was to provide a joint Event where members of both chambers could build relationships with businesses outside of their geographic location,”said Barbara Clifford, Corridor Nine Chamber Executive Director. “Many of the attendees indicated that they made many new business connections at the Ecotarium Mega Networking that they believe will translate into new business alliances.”

“The Worcester Regional Chamber was pleased to partner with the Corridor Nine Chamber to provide this networking opportunity to our members. I was impressed by the number of new faces doing business with our members. It was a great night for both Chambers and our members and it’s terrific to see people doing business with each other and strengthening our regional economy,” said President and CEO, of Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce Richard B. Kennedy.

The Ecotarium was the perfect backdrop to have area business people meet and greet each other in an informal setting, designed to enhance and promote networking. Struck Catering catered the event.

“Our hats are off the Ecotarium and Struck Catering for the fabulous job they did in hosting the event. Both received rave reviews from event attendees and we were delighted with their efforts,” Penta added.
