PENTA Communications, Inc. releases its third Communication on Progress Report to the United Nations Global Compact

WESTBOROUGH, MA__ PENTA Communications, Inc. (PENTA), a full-service integrated marketing firm serving the New England region, has released its third Communication on Progress (COP) to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). As a partner of the UNGC, PENTA releases an annual report detailing its ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility, business integrity, and best operational practices.

In the report, Founder and CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc., Deborah Penta, reflected on the past year in an opening letter.

“While the previous COP year celebrated a significant business milestone with the firm celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the past year was one of building for the continuation of a solid future poised for growth. We continued seeking ways to improve in all facets of our work and our operations. We furthered our efforts to help our community economically and humanitarianly and supported many of the same initiatives, along with several new endeavors, to maintain our commitment to the encouragement of a stronger future for our region.” Penta wrote.

Perhaps the largest and most impactful initiative of 2015 was the launch of PENTA’s Marketing Mentorship Scholar Program™, which melds education with business, and is one of the pillars of UNGC’s Ten Principles: Community Engagement. The six-month curriculum provides select students with management and leadership experiences, while exposing them to the multi-faceted world of business and its unique challenges and considerations.

Throughout the COP year, PENTA continued to support ongoing initiatives, including its Second Annual Flag Raising Ceremony, to celebrate the service of United States Veterans during National Military Appreciation Month. The Firm also continued to sponsor volunteer services to non-profit organizations throughout Central Massachusetts.

PENTA is at the top one percent of all female-owned businesses nationwide, and proved to be a steadfast ally of women’s initiatives through its support of the YWCA Katharine F. Erskine Awards, Worcester Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business Awards, and the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Forward Females luncheon series.

At its Westborough headquarters, PENTA sought to elevate its employee experience with its completed Team Clubhouse, which features table tennis, pool, and air hockey. The Clubhouse is adjacent to the team kitchen and relaxation room.

The outlook for 2016 is one of focused determination and a passion to deliver the highest levels of professional service to PENTA’s clients.

“We are excited about the seeds we planted during the 2015-2016 COP year that will come to fruition during the next COP period. This will include our first ever Marketing Innovation and Customer Insights Conference, which will unite marketing and academic leaders for a power-packed day of education.” Penta wrote.

The Marketing Firm was named as a partner in the United Nations (UN) Global Compact in 2013, which is comprised of 8,000 organizations worldwide from 135 countries.
