Regional Marketing Firm Honors Associates

PENTA Communications, Inc., a regional integrated marketing firm, recently honored two of its associates for outstanding achievements. Director of Client Relations Rhonda Engelking received the firm’s Outstanding Community Representation Award and Media Buyer Michelle Panagian received the Associate of the Year Award.

These awards celebrate the achievements of PENTA Associates who exhibit outstanding support of the firm, its clients and the community. “I feel honored to have received this award,” Engelking said. “It’s wonderful I have been given the opportunity to volunteer and work for a company that supports my passion for volunteerism.”

Engelking is the Mill Pond School (Westborough) school liaison for the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce School-to-Business Partnership Committee. She is also a community representative for the Mill Pond School Council and has dedicated years of her life to supporting various Committees and endeavors to benefi t the local schools and the community. She is also the company liaison for the firm’s pro bono work in helping nonprofi t organizations benefi t from world-class marketing and advertising support.

“Deborah encouraged me to join the School-to-Business Committee and to be the Company liaison to several of our pro-bono endeavors” Engelking said. “I enjoy working with the schools. I had three children go through the system, so it is gratifying to me to be able to give back to the schools.”

“It’s exciting to work with Chambers because of how very important they are to not only our community, but our businesses,” Engelking said. “We’ve also worked with First Night Worcester 2008, which has been great fun. This is such a highly visible event and we were really able to showcase our creative talent. It’s so nice to be involved with an event that brings the community together.”

“Rhonda has always demonstrated a desire to give back to the community and dedicated many hours to working on projects to help raise funds and improve awareness at our schools,” said CEO Deborah Penta, of PENTA Communications, Inc. “Her commitment and desire to give back truly makes a difference in our community, and she serves as a good role model for others at our firm. She has dedicated many
hours of her personal time to read scholarships and help fulfill the needs of the Committees and has the best interests of the children at heart.” “Deborah has the philosophy that we should always give back as a company within our community, whenever possible and whenever it is within your means,” Engelking added. “I’ve been with PENTA Communications, Inc. almost eight years, and we are continually finding new opportunities to support and volunteer within the community.”

“We work hard every day to help our clients grow their companies,” Penta said. “That is very fulfilling and makes us all very proud. When we have an opportunity to give back to the community through the talent and time of our associates and through the support of funding, it makes what we do have an even greater meaning to benefi t not only our clients, but everyone around us.”

As the Media Buyer for PENTA Communications, Inc. Panagian has found herself in a myriad of different situations within the company.

“We were very proud to honor Michelle with the Associate of the Year Award. She exemplifies extraordinary client service, always goes over and above and has an excellent work ethic,” Penta said. “Her contributions are consistently made on a daily basis, and she never hesitates to help other members of our staff accomplish their goals.”
